These racks are made under highest quality standarts.
They use a longer special teflon bushing on the right side,
witch will last longer than any other bushing.
Teflon has the fortune, that the rack moves easier under load,
than one with a brass bushing.

The TRW racks never had that problem (or better, i never saw one).
I had one for about 100.000 kilometers without any issues.
TRW is out of production with those, so we found another manufacturer here in Germany,
who did the new racks now. They come complete with tie rods and boots.
No one has to wait, we have them in stock.

We never thought, we can get it done, but now they are here:
Brand new Pantera steering racks are on sale for only
    450.- Dollar each.
Last racks from the factory where 1700 Dollar each.
Maybe someone will arrange a group buy, that will save a lot of freight costs.
On ten racks, we give a 10% discount.

  Roland,

What kind of racks are these? The early Panteras (through the late 1970s) used a British rack made by Cam Gears UK. The later cars used a different rack, which was very similar, but internally different. I believe the last racks were made by TRW. They are assembled differently, and are difficult to service--but of course if they are new, they don't *need* service! (At least not right away). I believe even the new racks use a plastic bushing on the right side, which wears out in about 30,000 miles.

Please tell us more, and tell me if I am wrong about any of this?

  Mike
