[DeTomaso] THE TACH AND THE MSD AGAIN / READS LOW

I have the MSD box and adaptor wired per the instructions and the reading at  
idle is just above 0; and when it reads 1,000 we think it's reving around  
1,800.  Any ideas would be helpful.  Is there a "setting" to be made I don't
