Thanks Jack,
     When he ordered it he said something like,  "give me the strongest thing you've got".  It looks like that is what he received,  plus a little extra noise at no extra charge :-)   The thing must REALLY be noisy because he can't hear worth a damn anyway.

Straight-cut gears WILL be noisier; that why they made spiral and helical-cut 
gears. Heavier 90W-140 gear lube will cushion the teeth-contact and cut the 
howling a little, but the real fix if the noise really bothers him is to change 
to a non-racing, stock transmission. Or an automatic. FWIW- J DeRyke
