A good way to keep the rubber in new bushings from cracking,is to spray them
now and then with cavity vax,as commonly used for rust protection of
cars.This leave a protective,fairly elastic film on the rubber, so it wont
drie out and crack.:)

Asa,
 
The exposed parts of the rubber bushings always look cracked and  dried out.

But the inner parts, on the ones I have disassembled, have always  been in
good shape.
 
If the bushings look to be centered on the bolts, they are probably  fine as
is.
