[DeTomaso] Exhaust tips

I just measured mine: OD=2.8"

Looks like 3" 304 stainless 16GA tubing measures about 2.87" ID.

Has anyone tried something like this?

Be advised that there are different sized tips on different mufflers.  I
bought a set of slip-on tips (they all have to be welded on) from a vendor
and they were way too large.  When I asked him about it he said he didn't
even know there were different sizes.  Neither did I or most people on this
forum.

Don't ask me which mufflers are which size as I just gave up and sold the
tips.

Just my experience.
