No.  There were a number of "left-over" bodies from the Ford production,
that DeTomaso
"bought back", and finished over time.  Naturally at a much slower
production rate.

BTW I heard there was actually one 1983.  Perhaps still in GM hands (or
crushed), although all 1983's were
labeled, marketed, sold and titled as 1984s.
