Dear Simple thoughts . . .
IMO <<<<<<<<<<<REMEMBER I SAID THIS!
No one on this list runs a motor close to capacity - even on the salt
you only get 5 miles. a good fuel line has enough fuel for that (sort
of). Most panteras will break every speed limit in a matter of seconds.
However, no one wants to (or should) come close to running a lean
condition at WOT. This is hard on oil pans. It does, however, make
cool melted piston ashtrays!
I would guess a good motor would run a tank dry in a few minutes, but
not on the street.
