Has anyone had any experience with DAS http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ ?
My co-driver has used them to ship his Corollas from L.A. to Atlanta. It
cost him $600 each. DAS did not put any dents in them big enough to notice.
I think they use regular open trailers like new cars are delivered on.
Caution - these are 1980 Corolla rally cars. It would take a big dent to be
noticed.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Shipping Companies
Well; after way too many years of simply lurking here, I've finally taken
the plunge and purchased a 72 Pantera in LA and now need to ship it east.
My instinct says ship the car via enclosed trailer and I've gotten quotes
ranging from $1,450 (Smart Auto) up to $2,114 (Passport/Fedex) for that.
Other companies I've received quotes from are: Auto Transport, Agape,
Car-Go, Intercity and DASH.
I welcome any recommendations from anyone with experience using different
shipping companies and/or brokerage firms. I'm sure once I finally get my
hands on the car, many more questions will ensue!
Thx, Jim
