That detailer agreed to drive up to the show and clean my Longchamp in
exchange for leaving a few business cards on the stand. Nice guy, but I
paid him all the same.
 
I think you'll find that not only has Colin owned his GT5S from new but
it 'is' the last one off the production line, or at least the last RHD
car.
The story goes that after the classic car market bubble burst, full of
speculators buying production deposits and then losing out big time, DT
still had Colin's deposit which he'd put down prior to the market taking
off. You may know that all the factories were in on this also, all
making money from the rising market prices.
The factory then produced Colins car at the pre-inflationary price. I
think he waited around two years to have his car delivered.
