FWIW, if you are primarily concerned with street driveability and won't be 
trying for a new land-speed record anytime soon, an unaltered 2-V intake on 
unaltered 4-V heads works wonderfully well up to about 5200 rpms. The huge 
mismatch between small intake & giant head-ports acts just like an anti-reversion 
step, up to about that engine speed, vastly enhancing low speed torque and around 
town driveability.

Going the other way- a 4-V intake on unported 2-V heads- will act like a 
restriction at all engine speeds. Good luck- J DeRyke
