[DeTomaso] Seat belts

I may be wrong, but I think that the belts are pretty much the same from one
brand to another. The difference is going to be in the fasteners. Of
course, the major theological question is the latch vs. cam vs. rotary.
Each has advantages and disadvantages.

For the Pantera, there is also the question of where you mount the shoulder
straps. There is a bar that the Pantera vendors sell ($100) that mounts on
the existing shoulder bolts which you mount the straps to. It is a popular
method, but there are questions about how strong it is. (Note: there is a
version of the bar for VINs under 2000 and one for over 2000.)

For what it is worth, I went with the rotary and with the bar between the
bolts.

Whatever you get be sure that it has
- 3 inch wide belts
- at least one submarine belt (5 or more point harness)
- a fresh date (I think the ORR folks like two years or less)

Okay, sounds reasonable.
Next question:

What brand do most folks use?
In my research so far, Simpson seems the most reasonably priced. What
are the opinions of others?
