A 12-14" long piece of braided steel hardware-store cable, a knob or other 
pull-thing on one end and a cable clamp on the other. In practice, you drill a 
hole sized for a grommet in the side of the toe-box and feed the cable through 
so the pull-end dangles above the accelerator pedal and the other end attaches 
to the existing latch release. Once done, the cable and its puller can be 
tucked in behind the kick-panel so as to not annoy your throttle foot during 
driving. I just finished doing this to a Pantera, and the whole job was about an
