Thanks to Mike sharing his story about the electrical problem in his
scirocco,i think i might share something that can be of help for those of
you wanting to track down a fault like that in the cars electrical system. In
Mikes case he could see the fault with his own eyes, but sometimes fault like
this are totally hidden and could not be seen.A fault like this confuse
many,as they with a multimeter can find voltage at the powerlead, but still
doesent get the component to work. The fault occur when the powerlead to the
component still have a little ability to lead current so you get a voltage
reading, but is restricted from giving enough ampere to run the
component. That restriction could be a nearly cut off electrical wire with
maybee only one single cord to feed power. What you can do to check for a
fault like this,is to use a testlamp of 12 volt and 10watts or higher
strengt and connect it to the power wire.It should shine up bright or
otherwise there is a restriction somewhere and the lamp can be used to track
it further.Hope this can be of some help in your hunt for electrical
gremlins :)

A Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all !
