In any case, the smart thing to do is just enlist somebody to help you, 
rather than screwing around with vice grips etc. and trying to do it on your own.   
Anybody with a room-temperature IQ can hold or turn a wrench on the nut in 
the front trunk compartment while you hold or turn a socket on the bolt under 
the dash.
