The speedo and tach rest against the hard plastic 'bezel' and the sheet-steel 
gauge mounts behind the dash that tightens up against the back of the dash 
using thumbscrews on the back of the instruments, holds everything in place. If 
you're not using the stock gauge mounts, I doubt if any adhesive will hold 
against road vibrations, condensation and summer heat. I would adapt the stock 
gauge mounts to your Autometer gauges. Good luck- J DeRyke
