Stephen,

You didn't need to remove the plastic reservoir.

It sure would be swell if those were studs, but unfortunately they're bolts.  
 One person has to be insid the car and the other outside.   It is VERY 
difficult to get to the bolts on the inside of the cabin.

This job totally sucks.

Rather than removing the whole assembly, i.e. disconnecting the clevis from 
the pedal arm inside the car, the smart thing is to just unbolt the master, 
pull it forward, then release the pushrod from the master, keeping it attached to 
the pedals.   Then remove the new pushrod from the new master, and install 
the new master on the old pushrod.   MUCH easier.
