There are three (four?) different cables depending on your ZF, VIN, and
phase of the moon. There is a table somewhere in the thick POCA binder that
can tell you what you need. I think it is one of the TSBs. Asa Jay? Jack?
Bueller?
I just took a picture of the cable ends and emailed it to Larry Stock to get
the right one. I think the cost was around $100.
As Mike mentioned, if you have some time to kill, you can save some money
building your own from local bits.

sometimes, right behind the speedo. I was planning on pulling that end,
lubing it a
bit, then rerouting it and hoping for the best.

>>>While you can get one locally, it's likely that it won't be much cheaper,
and for sure will be much more of a hassle than simply picking up the phone
and ordering one, as all the Pantera vendors carry them. I found when I
bought
mine (in 1989) that prices varied greatly from one vendor to the next.
When you calculate what your time is worth, and the cost of gas to drive to
a
speedo shop with the old cable in your hand to replicate, it is MUCH cheaper
to just buy from (and support) the vendors...
