I have a pair I never installed. They appear to be made out of nylon.

DOING
anything productive either. Under certain circumstances I suppose it's
possible that the grilles can enable air to exit more freely, and under
other
circumstances it might even hurt.

There have been attempts at before-and-after empirical evidence gathering,
with little results to show for it.

The big problem with the vents is that they are perfectly flat, whereas the
hood is comprised of compound curves. So after you hack a pair of
unnecessary
holes in the hood, you then wind up warping the hood metal to accomodate the

vents.

On some cars, they do look good, I'll admit. But I'll take a clean,
unmolested and perfectly functional hood any day.

Mike (spent hours in traffic this weekend, with a stock-style radiator, Hall

pusher fans, no vents in the hood, and never came close to overheating....)
