I think that if one wanted to get an engineer involved in designing the uprights, then one should consider the whole suspension system. Goran Malmberg has done extensive work on the Pantera suspension and structure. While his website is very informative and whets our appetites, he doesn't provide the complete plans for a better system.

Who was the Baja Truck guy in Vegas a couple years ago that was building a billet aluminum rear upright with off the shelf sealed bearings? He had axels, CV joints, and complete disc brake set ups. He was talking in the $4,000 range for the entire pakage. Anybody know what happened to him? > Date: Sun, 19 Aug 2007 14:24:32 -0700> From: asajay at asajay.com> To: detomaso at realbig.com> Subject: Re: [DeTomaso] Aluminum Rear Carriers on Ebay> > I think I would be interested in new uprights, but not in magnesium, and > they would need to fit off-the-shelf bearings that were easy to replace, > high quality and race-ready.> > Asa Jay> > Asa Jay Laughton, MSgt, USAFR, Retired> > & Shelley Marie> Spokane, WA> > 1973 Pantera L 5533> [ASASCAT]> > ****************************** > http://www.asajay.com> http://www.351c.info> > > > > Peter Havlik wrote:> > Mark:> >> > There are two factors influencing my decision.
