I thought you had to disconnect the "long flexible drive thingus" from the
motor as well.

It's really quite easy to do.

Remove both wiper arms.

Unplug the electrical connector.

Unscrew the knurled nut which holds the end of the tube to the wiper motor.

Remove the clamp (10mm nuts) which holds the wiper motor to the body.

Carefully withdraw the motor, and the long flexible drive thingus, from the
car. :>)
