[DeTomaso] Convert 1-wire Alternator to 3-wire

I recall a post within the last 2-6 months about converting a 1-wire alternator to a 3-wire 
  alternator, but I cannot find it by searching the archives. Does anyone remember that post 
  and can you point me to it?  Or, can you describe the process for me?
