[DeTomaso] which gear to park in?

You have a lot of hills.  I remember parking on a steep hill in Tacoma in
your car wondering if the clutch would fry and if the brake would hold. :-)

I use first.  Why second?

  I have been parking my manual shift cars in 2nd gear since I was 16. I
have been doing the same with the Pantera. However I'm wondering if that
might be hurting the ZF in any way.
   
  Is there a preferred gear to park in? What gear do you park your Pantera
