These are very much 'production' motors, built to a (low) price.   Intended 
for street-rodders and people like that who like a rumpity-rump cam, and might 
smoke a tire or two but would never actually DRIVE the car.

For awhile Pantera folks in the UK were importing 392-inch (I think?) Ford 
Racing stroker Windsors, and every one of them turned out to be junk.   They 
either had big problems right out of the box, or shortly after they went on the 
road.   All of them were eventually sorted out, by taking them apart, replacing 
substandard parts, repairing substandard work, etc. etc.
