[DeTomaso] Is this as bad as it sounds (NASCAR)

Well NASCAR is definitely the WWE of racing, but there is a "rest of the
story" here.

Gordon passed that "race leader" to take the lead right as the yellow
came out; then Ambrose spun Gordon right after the yellow was displayed.
Gordon then drove past the field under yellow to re-take his position up
front only to be told by NASCAR that he passed under yellow and would
have to go back to somewhere mid pack. That decision didn't sit to well
with Gordon so he ignored it, plus a couple of black flags and took the
re-start right behind Ambrose where he then returned the favor by
spinning him. All this took place with one or two laps left in the race
and it was on a road course not an oval.

Gordon has never been know for having a cool head, but does anybody
think that if the same thing had happened to Dale Jr or one of NASCAR's
other "chosen ones" that the "passing under yellow" ruling would have
been made? Me thinks not.

BTW intentionally spinning another driver in retaliation is as old as
racing itself, it's just usually done a little stealthier than this.

I read this:

ap&type=lgns

and have a hard time believing that a driver would so casually admit
to intentionally causing a race leader to spin? It's even harder to
believe that they'd ever let him drive in another race. Is this racing
or wrestling?
