[DeTomaso] Four Days to Vegas / Two Cats Down

My ambitious plan to take both Panteras to Vegas this year ("The Beast" for Pahrumph & "The Winged Warrior" for Mt. Charleston) isn't looking so good right now.
"The Winged Warrior" is still getting the newly installed engine practically re-installed and the heart of "The Beast" is still in the engine shop waiting for the right size rings to arrive.
To make it even more interesting, the 67 Chevy tow rig has been run for only 100 miles with it's new small block and dozens of other new parts. I'll be driving it hard tonight for a shake-down.
I'll be taking "The Winged Warrior" out for a test run in the morning to see if it still pops out of the exhaust after letting off (the timing had been set to 45 degress total advance so I'm hoping that was the cause) and to see if the new hoses hold up.
I'm hoping to be able to put it to bed so I can rock and roll on "The Beast" over the next 76 hours.
I have two questions for those in the know:
1) To get rod bearing dust out of oil lines and coolers, is solvant and compressed air adequate or is a more aggressive cleaning required? How about high pressure water through the lines (and dried on the clothes line after some blasts of air) and a few gallons of gas through the coolers?
2) What viscosity of Mobil One is recommended for a 7,500 rpm small block with fresh rings and bearings?

Thank You,
Mr. "I just can't get enough pressure" DanTomaso
