I had a choice to make this morning, 1) a car show in Savannah for the
Savannah Firefighters to raise money or 2) Several of us were invited to be
a static display at the Beaufort Naval Air Station on the parade field
during a Blue Angels Air Show today and on Sunday. This one required you to
stay all day and not leave until the crowd had left, knowing that they were
expecting 100,000 people and the thought of that many hands around the car,
well you see why I took choice #1.

Sadly several hours ago, F/A 18 #6 of the Blue Angels crashed during the
show and the pilot was killed, you may see this on your news tonight, I'm
sure over the next few days. I won't describe what friends told me, get
your own info from these websites www.savannahnow.com, www.wtoc.com.

If you have a moment in your thoughts please remember the pilot. it''s
obvious he died trying to make sure the plane didn't kill people on the
ground instead of ejecting and ensuring his own life.
