I'm taking a little flak, and I'd rather spend my time building the registry
than answering those that chose not to participate.

If you don't want to register, which is simple, and free, fine, then don't.
Hmmm, I think everyone registered for this forum. People chose to register
for the PI forum. Never mind...That is a can o worms...

There are some plans for significant features for the site that are in the
works. But that is for a future announcement.

Logging in is necessary to protect the data in the Registry. Imagine just
anyone could update/change or delete any (all) entries.

With anything new, there will always be those with differing opinions.
There will always be "nay-sayers", complainers, etc.
I pick from comments that which I feel is a good idea, and incorporate it,
the rest I don't.
I have received a lot of supporting comments, sent privately.
I think many people are hesitant to post their positive opinion, for fear of
being the new focus of negative comments.

I feel I am creating something of substantial interest to the DeTomaso
community.
The proof is in the large number (over 400) of people that do see value in
my work,
and have registered. My website is only 18 days old today. That satisfies
me that I am going in the right direction.

If you don't care to view the thousands of photos I have taken over the more
than 10 years, don't. PLEASE DON'T.

I am paying the "Bandwidth Bill", and it is costing me real money. I'm not
charging a fee, nor have any plans to.
And insinuating such is an insult. I reward those that submit a car (any
car) to the Registry with access to it.

Bottom line, if you don't like my new website, don't visit, but stop bashing
that which you don't like, don't understand or are ignorant of.

My website is available for all to enjoy as they please, I only ask that you
treat me fairly, as you would want to be treated. I believe many
will find it useful. And so I have been told.

Chuck Melton

Perhaps Chuck needs this feature so he can charge a fee for access to the
registry later once it is established ?
