I had a top mounted Cobra/ Shebly Style K & N filter asembly and recently
changed to the Holley/ B & M Hi-Tek "Dogbone". I don't notice any air flow
restriction or performance loss and I run 393 inches with 550 hp / 500 lbs.
If you figure out the square inch surface area of the new system versus the
old one, I actually have more filter area and it's 1.5 inches shorter and I
can finally see out the rear window.
