[DeTomaso] Driving from London to Las Vegas

The routes are picked based on total travel time. Driving through France is
a longer distance but is faster than swimming. Look at the distance and
estimated time "6,436 mi (about 30 days 23 hours)" -- hence the need for
several cartons of cheap French cigarettes for the long swim.

What's funnier is that Google has the swimmer take a ferry (supposedly since
there is no road) from Dover across the English Channel to Boulogne-sur-Mer,
France, then travel down the coast of France to a shipping terminal in Le
Harve, France to begin the trans-Atlantic swim. If I was going to swim the
Atlantic, I would just start from Dover or England's West coast. Why bother
travelling down to France?
