[DeTomaso] WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO DO BODY DAMAGE TO YOUR PANTERA?

The buzzards, wild pigs, cattle, pissed off ranchers and little ol' ladies
driving to town have made the
ORRs interesting the last few years. Chances of damaging your car are still
much higher on the open track/road racing events because of the other cars
proximity. If you do go off, hopefully you'll
have a big run off area or a smooth retainer to catch you if you go too far.
An EMS unit is always within sight too. What makes ORRs so dangerous is
that if you go off there are no good places to do it. You're going much
faster most of the time in basically a street car. If you're lucky, the EMS
won't be more than 10 or 12 miles away at most and you're not more than an
hour from a hospital. This is important because going off course at an ORR
is almost always bad. So you just gotta choose between body damage and body
damage. It can happen.
