Re: [DeTomaso] List copyrights
Dear Kurt, So.......for those of us who are not lawyers, the problem is solved, because there is no problem?? I realize my reasoning may be too simple for real world legalities, though. Warmest regards, Chuck Engles On Thu, May 26, 2016 at 9:25 AM, Kurt Byrnes wrote:

Looks like it's pretty clear, no one owned the list data or the data posted to it.

I would really like to solve whatever issues need solved and get everyone happy again. My goal in keeping the list running is NOT to upset or alienate anyone. I've been lurking on the list since about 2002. I just want to give back to the community. I've not communicated with the person issuing cease and desist emails but according to the learned people I talked with, there is no valid copyright claim for any of the list information by anyone. It is public information and even if you put a disclaimer in your email saying it is not to be shared as you claim copyright, you're knowingly posting to a public forum so you have no copyright. Hoping we can all just get along, Kurt On 5/26/2016 12:58 PM, cengles@cox.net wrote:
