Techno Question: AC system dryer insulation

Larry Stock wrote: What kind of drier is that with an electrical plug in it? ………….. Uh, that is a standard drier. Everyone I’ve ever had contained a threaded port designed to accept a binary or trinary pressure shut-down switch. Not originally included on our cars, but an advisable upgrade when working on the AC system. Do you not supply a pressure switch on the AC kits sold by pantera parts connection??? Yes, we do brother Larry, but we mount it on the compressor less than a foot away from the wire that goes to the compressor clutch that activates the system. I think that's a much cleaner simpler location. Wouldn't you agree? My 84 GT5 had a binary low pressure switch there from factory. After a hose blew off a fitting I replaced it with a trinary switch. Thomas
