The alignment of the stars was such that, when I turned 62, it was possible (inevitable?) to add a car to our menagerie - an SPC Daytona Coupe made in 2004, but titled as a 1965. While the arrival of the new child was a bit of a fantasy come true, there was this problem figuring out how everyone would fit in our garage. We'd been talking about an expansion, but now we were in the "Get her done now" mode. 3 weeks later we've extended two of the three bays by 10 feet, and added a new lift. Quick note - I have the same (close) set-up. I converted the garage door opener to one that mounts right next to the door - a neat thing - and got rid of that impending danger - and allows the car to go right up to the ceiling. And hopefully, not through it. Due diligence. #4348

Fwiw a PCNC member had a very tall workshop and kept a windsurfer suspended above his Pantera. During the 1989 earthquake one end came free, it pointed straight down and then fell and punched right through the roof and embedded itself in the seat! Cabinets are a bad deal too. Roger Coates in England (lurker on this forum) had heavily loaded garage cabinets that were bolted to the wall, fall off and smash the front of his GT5-S prompting a full restoration... Mike (nothing can call in my garage because EVERYTHING is in junk piles in the floor--certainly not a model to emulate!)
