Hey Asa Jay! Thanks very much for yours and everyone's concern about my health and car! I am well, just a little sore...everywhere! A car in front of me on the freeway swerved left exposing a PT Cruiser stopped dead in the second lane who had rear ended the car in front of him who had rear ended the car of him! The lead car took off before I came along and the Cruiser driver was tipsy. The Cruiser ended up on top of my front trunk. Just my luck of the draw. Totally unavoidable. Twenty five thousand dollars damage and growing. Pantera #1333 will be rebuilt and be better than ever. My body may take a little longer but then, the Pantera always looked better than I did!! The Palooza was epic as the pictures show. Scott and his posse did an incredible job and produced a memorable event!! Thanks again for everyone's concern! Sounds like an awesome day! Sorry we missed it but I have to say we had some pretty great fun at Legoland yesterday as part of our family vacation/Sam's birthday.
Glad to hear the club is doing well with membership and store sales. And by the way Scott, I think the show was well marketed this year. Keep up the good work. :)

51 Panteras on the lawn at Team Pantera Orange County's Pantera Palooza Jamboree and Picnic! Special guests Chip Foose, past POCA president John Buckman, POCA store selling lots of clothing/mugs etc, book signing by author Wally Wyss, membership drive, hot buffet lunch.....great day here in Irvine, CA. Plan to join us next year for more deTomaso fun! Prayers for Marshall Smith, President San Diego Panteras, who had
an accident on his way home unfortunately. Best to him and his Pushbutton!

Glad to hear you are alright. Sometimes its better to sacrifice the car, then you. If the Pantera can be repaired, that's great. You might have to ask Larry Finch where he got all his parts. You know I think half the reason Larry didn't end up totalled is because he'd already bought nearly all the parts he was going to need. I hope yours comes out good again. But you also need time to recover so take it easy and get well. :) Asa Jay Quoting marshall smith <marshallgsmith@sbcglobal.net>:

The higher prices of Panteras probably are a major factor in Larry's car being repaired. You can make a lot of repairs if the replacement cost is over $70K. My recollection is that Larry's car is very nice, so it should support a lot of repair costs. Just make sure you have not tried to save money on insurance premiums by under insuring your car. Ken, Good point and one I often overlook. As the value of these cars has gone up, the owners need to consider adjusting their insurance, nearly on a yearly basis. And yes, it's very possible to have repairs done today that would have totalled a car just a few years ago. Asa Jay Quoting Ken Green <kenn_green@yahoo.com>:

hey listers Beware of a Long and Newman car that was on ebay , now private sale. there is no title, in addition the car was re-poed from a storage unit so is subject to reclaim in some states for up to 5 years, next the seller will not sign any documentation not even the Nevada bill of sale nor a limited power of attorney to attempt to register the car even with a bonded title .the guy listing the car name Is John Coe in the Reno Nevada area. I was looking at trying to buy the car using proper paper work and a notarized contract for the sale The guy went all nasty in emails then would call me apologize then come back with more profane emails .The car is only worth the shell value , no glass , typical never finished KIT car like car. I walked away especially after my wife (an accountant) agreed with my feeling that something was terribly wrong with the sale.
