Hi all,I'm currently having my 351 c rebuilt with a few extras and am contemplating F.I. The concern I have is will any bodywork need to be cut? Thankyou for any replies in advance. Michael B Sent from my iPad

I went with the MSD system - and love it. The only bodywork that I did was to drill a hole through a frame rail to get the fuel pipe from the pump that I located below the tank. This was not absolutely necessary, but made the final plumbing much cleaner. The banjo connection on the discharge of the pump goes straight into the frame - you can see the grommet around the rubber hose in picture 6. I think most of the EFI system manufactures let you download instructions from their websites. If you get the MSD and FAST instructions, you can see what is needed. I think the only time you need to cut the bodywork is if you want individual runner webber look sequential FI. Most of the manifolds available are too tall and you have to cut out part of the rear decklid to make it work. Not very elegant. There are alternatives. Dennis Quella has an IR system that fits under the deck lid and under the stock engine screen. Aussiespeed makes a low profile manifold that can be fitted with short throttlebodies that will also fit under the decklid and engine screen.
