About Hermine, I live just South of Jacksonville and it was pretty much a non-event for us except for some wide-spread power outages around the area. My son lives in Tampa and they are still being pummeled with heavy rains. We were actually hoping for a bit more rain in the North East part of the state to fill the lakes back up due to the dry summer. We saw about 40 MPH winds when the feeder bands swept through, but they passed quickly and the path slipped farther North than it was projected. The Scallop industry and area around Steinhatchee on the Gulf side got the storm surge and had a few boats washed onto the shore. I heard of 1 fatality blamed on the storm.
