I couldn't agree more Terry. I would add that those who want the paper copies should be paying the real costs of printing and posting them, not those of us that don't want them! Barry

BUT.. Has there been a poll to determine how many members really still want paper!! I would say they are in the minority. Our POCA membership database (if there is one) should reflect whether a member wants a paper copy of electronic copies. Stop sending out paper products that end up in the trash can 1 day after they arrive. Same Same for the newsletter. Let the members who want paper get them, but don't waste printing and mailing to paper that just will collect dust in a closet and eventually get thrown out.. IMHO. Feel free to flame me. ;-)

This is NOT directed at anyone in particular. I think it needs to be understood that if POCA insists on a $75+ annual membership in order to force everyone to pay for the paper some members want, it will be a smaller club every year than it could be with a choice in membership cost between a low cost digital membership and a high cost paper one. Despite any faults Michael had, he had this part correct. Threats to quit if you don't get a paper service don't justify making others pay more to subsidize your choices. You should be willing to pay the true cost for your paper if you insist on having it. The majority of the new BOD as it now stands may very well support the original way of funding things.
