My friend has a 72 Pantera with a internal throwout bearing. He want to go back to the stock external throwout shaft and cylinder. We changed from the stock type 30 years ago and it had not beyond repair. Plus it has become a pain to take out the transaxle every time to repair or replace the internal throw out bearing. So does anyone have the complete shaft type throwout bearing they want to sell him? thanks Steven Edwards My friend has a 72 Pantera with a internal throwout bearing. Steven, I'd reach out to the likes of Dennis Quella and Ron McCall. Dennis was advocating internal throw out bearings for many years and should have a stash of clutch forks on the shelf. Likewise, a lot of the GT40 replica crowd seem to opt for an internal hydraulic throw out too. My sons car came with the internal one. We got rid of it at the first chance we had and sold it on eBay and went back to the external one. I think his car came with all the parts for the external one. We have these for the ZF/Pantera and an external mount for the GT-40 style as well. The internal Throw outs overheat in the ill-vented Pantera Bellhousing causing the failures.
