Here is an older photo comparing an original Ford thermostat with the NAPA 197. This is what they look like when they are open. The Ford unit is in all respects the same as the NAPA part. I don't know what makes the Robertshaw unit 'high flow' but I drank that Kool Aid and bought them when they were available.... Also is a write up I did to compare the bypassing versus radiator flow between the proper thermostat and one that was sold by MS .

I have read several times of Pantera owners having overheating
were at least partially caused by using a Windsor thermostat
