Re: [DeTomaso] Thermostat .... visual differenced between Cleveland and. Windsor thermostats

Mike, Could you do that again, with the part number visible? Or is 197 the part number? Asa Sent using Jedi Mind Tricks Mike Drew via DeTomaso <detomaso@server.detomasolist.com> wrote:

Joe,
Thank you very much for the pictures and additional info. I am fortunate to have also received similar info in a PM from ken MacArthur.
Now I know what I'm looking for and will get one of the Robert Shaw setups. I appreciate your help.

Here is a photo of the Marlin Jack's thermostat and restrictor. Notice the copper "hat" on the end.
Also is a write up I did to compare the bypassing versus radiator flow between the proper thermostat and one that was sold by MS .
A pic of the MS wrong stat in the packaging

I have read several times of Pantera owners having overheating
were at least partially caused by using a Windsor thermostat
in the Cleveland Pantera engine. Does anyone have a picture they could share which would allow a visual identification of the differences in
these different thermostats?
Thanks,
