1 year ago today, TMeyer took ownership of the Tod Buttermore Cleveland block. So what happened in the past year? I will admit, it has gone slower than expected. As you can see in one of the pictures, the tooling has been upgraded to have solid bulk head for the mains, we had extra material added for the 1-piece rear main seal. The first 2 sample casting arrived at our show the beginning of April. City had to bring in 440 volt service, so that was finished about May or June. Then thanks to some misunderstandings, our horizontal CNC machine was wired incorrectly and caused a little over $30,000 in damage and a lot more time. CNC machine was up and running in about July when all was said and done. Part of the deal in purchasing the Cleveland block project was (2) machining fixtures, (1) will work fine, but the other was totally not what we wanted and instead of arguing about it, we just moved ahead and start to make it ourselves. So as of today, while we were in the "holding pattern" we have machined the Duraspark RTR distributor and finished the first (2) samples of the Track Boss 8.2 intake manifold. In the past week or so we have been slowly finishing up on the fixtures to machine blocks. With any luck, within a week we will be sharing pictures of the first steps in machining the new Cleveland block. Again, we appreciate your patience, this has been a long and drawn out process.
