I had always thought these additions to be an Amerisport effort. I love the Si (and GT5S), but can't say this car appeals to me in any way, it is almost neither of the aforementioned and the white on white on white just does zero for the lines of the car IMO. There is perhaps a reason this car remains for sale when other GT5S cars have been snapped up! Julian, While I love the original look of the Pantera, I think this looks good. Sorry to disagree. I have some respect for Kirk Evan's work. We all have our own tastes. Would I do it to my Pantera? No, because my Pre-L car looks great as well, stock. Corey On Tue, Aug 23, 2016 at 11:38 AM, Julian Kift <julian_kift@hotmail.com> wrote:

"factory" wide body kit.... Wonder what factory made it. For sure, not the DeTomaso factory! Roland Am 23.08.2016 um 19:07 schrieb The DeTomaso Registry Guy:

Mike, i don't know, if you are blind or ignorant. None of that (ugly) design features made it to the SI Pantera.I doubt, that the parts where made in Modena. DT had all fiber glass molds in the factory but none of them for these parts where ever there. Roland Am 21.08.2016 um 20:41 schrieb Mike Drew via DeTomaso:
Jim,
I believe it was a joint effort. Kirk's design but built in Modena. It presaged the Pantera Si, which was ostensibly designed by Gandini but seemed to borrow a lot from Kirk's design!

When the styling of the Pantera (GT5-S) was considered for updating, DeTomaso created new front and rear sections.
See one example, from Pantera 9494 in the registry.
This car is also currently up for sale.
I like the new rear styling, perhaps more than what went into production on the Pantera Si.
Les, feel free to discuss while your update photos are being loaded - grin.
