Mike, I’m getting the email strings, but as you explained, when looking for the compilation of current and previous strings, I get the “page not found” message. Hopefully that archive will one day be restored. Very valuable to parse previous conversations, and search for things… Dennis Valdez Sent from my iPhone

David,
I haven’t seen any other responses to your query.
The way this list is structured, the intention is for messages to be received and then rebroadcast via email in real time to all subscribers. An alternate function is to get the messages in a single daily digest.
As a very secondary resource, all messages are stored in a searchable archive that is accessed via a web interface. It was never the intention that this archive would be the primary means that the information was accessed.
When the whole system needed to be migrated to a new platform, the migration was not nearly as smooth as one would have hoped. It took awhile, but the primary function of real-time messaging was finally restored a few weeks ago. The secondary feature of the archive of those messages was apparently fraught with peril, as bad actors attempted to hack the new system. It is still not functional as far as I know.
So, if somebody was using the system as intended, normal operation has been restored. If not, those people are left in the dark (I think).
A good question is, how does one change one’s delivery preferences? I believe the link at the bottom of forum messages that brings you to the archive also takes you to the control panel where such selections are made. Thus it’s entirely possible that those people who were receiving real time email messages prior to the transition are continuing to do so, while those that were not, are currently prevented from being able to make that selection.
I’m just a user of the system and have no in-depth knowledge at all. Kurt, the long-suffering and largely invisible benefactor who takes care of this incredible resource, may have more or better answers to share?

From what I understood, Kurt is having to go through the archives one by one and upload any emails with attachments separately. I’m sure that’s a laborious task over years of archives. Julian
