Re: [DeTomaso] Restoration of old albums

Yes PLEASE.... that would be just great. I had so many pictures it would save a tremendous amount of time! Thanks AJ!!! This is one of the concepts behind "mirroring" other web sites; in case one goes down, the other is still around. I'd like to point out that the "lost" images from the "infection" of the old POCA server were in fact recovered. Only four (as I recall) of the several thousand images were found to be infected, all others were just fine and a new album was put in place on the old server so folks could still access them. Terry Himes helped immensely in that effort and I'd like to thank him again for his work to recover those. Fantastic. I'll see if I can open a conversation with Ed and see what might be done. He may already have a backup of the old photos albums (I think he does). It may be he (or someone) just has to work with the ClubExpress people for the space on the server and then link them somehow on the web site. The caveat here is that they won't be linked to the members accounts as they are today, they would pretty much be a read-only affair. But the photos -would- be available to view and or copy to the new albums by the members themselves. That is -if- it possible. No promises but I think it something we can look into. Actually, we "might" be able to associate them to member accounts. If they are using an MySQL backend DB, I could create the tables required for the load-n-go.
