This is the part I don't get. The PI site is a wonderful resource, has dominant market share for the Pantera community, and is more inclusive with many international owners and lots of people that don't want anything to do with POCA. It's archives of Pantera info and pictures are tremendous (it's been around for so long!) and I believe you can get access to all the historical info that was on the old Pantera International website. Furthermore, I'd say that the Forum software that it uses is better developed than the POCA forum software. And it is free for everyone. The only negative is that some people object to George Pence's occasional censorship - certainly no more egregious than the censorship on the POCA forum! So why doesn't POCA make a deal with George and cross-promote their sites? That would certainly promote the interests of the Pantera community better than the closed and exclusive approach they have now. Instead they are trying to develop the user base that uses their forum so that it has enough participation that it becomes becomes meaningful, especially with knowledgeable Pantera participants. From a business standpoint, it seems sort of futile - hubris at its best. As an aside, I might suggest to Chuck that he add a forum on his website specifically so that owners can document their cars in more detail than is done in the Registry. Make it open to anyone and everyone and it might get a large following, esp with its connection to the Registry. People would be inclined to use it since it has no political implications and it has a sense of permanence being part of the Registry. And it would be resource to add info to the Registry. The beauty is that it requires no effort on Chuck's part. The forum automatically manages the upload of pictures and all the owner information. This would be something that we all might contribute to with a small donation to help him cover the cost of hosting the data, the forum software can be had for free or for a nominal fee. Jeff 6559
