There are two switches in the left door pillar. It looks, like one cable of the white round switch has fallen off and hangs some where to the chassis ground. Roland Am 21.05.2016 um 17:49 schrieb Mikael:
Hi Fred
Couldn't see you got an answer to this? Try the Forum maybe? There's Technical section for this, and hundreds of members waiting to help.
To the content of your question, don't know sorry. What year is your car, is it so new it's a fancy electronic solution? Mine (1972) has no seatbelt warning, and the red lights in the doors simply work with the door closed contacts. Could the door contacts be marginal, sometimes work? I've had a situation where the lights in the doors and the interior stayed on, after reinstalling trim on the a-pillar, the screw had shorted a wire to ground

My seat belt light doesn't go off when I fasten the seat belt. Also, the red "safety" lights in the doors stay on when I shut off the engine. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect it without starting the engine, the door lights stay unlit unless I open the doors. Hope this makes sense. Please email with any help. Thanks in advance.
