At JPL I was confronted with a problem that when a mission ended (along with funding) all the spacecraft 

data was trashed. Yep!  No Money No Honey!  After years of spacecraft subsystems (like NAV, Power, Thermal,

Attitude Control, etc) asking for past missions’ data, I finally proposed to the Executive Committee to fund the

saving of Mission Data. They agreed but then tasked me (Ech) to do it. So, I wrote software, to extract and preserve

mission data for several missions.  Deep Impact, Dawn, Spirit/Opportunity, Spitzer Telescope, Odyssey, Juno and MRO.

A new team was formed (LSMD – Longterm Storage of Misson Data) to push all the Uplink and Downlink data to 

AWS and use ElasticSearch for users to mine any data they wanted from past missions. Works great!! 

Why am I telling you this… If anyone can get me access to his server, I can forensically extract the data and preserve it. 

Just a thought.

Attempts were made to contact Chuck at the time with only minimal response. In turn, the POCA Board under Scott Martin started developing a new registry to which many inputs have been made. Well, I guess it will happen someday if it hasn't now.

I, also, had some very entertaining discussions with Chuck about some De Tomaso's I have submitted to the registry.

I have copied every Push Button Pantera page that is on the registry for safe keeping.

Wasn't POCA busy with taking over the registry?

I hope all this information will not be lost.
