Years ago I would use a vacuum pump to remove air then open a valve to allow rick chip sealer to void the space. Large glass companies use it all the time. Safelight commercials show then using. Maybe contact some one in an auto glass forum or an antique car repair shop and maybe they can guide you. Jeff Cobb Sent from my brain.

Hello Thomas,
While I have not tried to fix this type of problem myselk, If I WERE to try it, I would use the Permatex flowable silicone assisted with a vacuum seal around the entire area (to allow the fluid to replace the air).
It might work, it might not, but I suspect it would help prevent this getting worse. Here’s what I have used to seal windhield gasket leaks (it is quite clear):

I'm about to install a new windscreen that I've had in the attic for many years, and when I look at the edges, it has started to delaminate :( Is there a way to fix this, or stop it from progressing? I've asked a couple of car glass installers, and they said no, not as far as they know. I'm wondering if there is anything that one could wick in between the panes that would fill the void? It has not started discoloring. Supposedly good Finnish windscreen.
