Dave, I did not see that post but I've only started to see email from the list again in the past few days. Apparently, I've had the ability to post but not to receive any replies. I've spoken with another list member and he has also started receiving email again so something has changed recently. As to Michael Shortt's Pantera for sale, I did see that for sale. The documentation from 1999 says the heads are Yates. Does anyone know if that's actually the case? Most of the Panteras that are advertised as having Yates heads actually have the pre-Yates heads (C302/C302B/C3) which share more design features with the OEM iron Cleveland heads. It would be important to the new owner to know that detail as they differ in important ways (valves aren't canted, require different pistons, rocker arms, intake manifolds, etc.). Also, the cam is a solid roller which needs frequent maintenance/inspection of the roller lifters and probably has a bronze distributor.
