The important thing is that the other side is at the exact same height so both struts fully extend equally at the same time. Larry

This is what someone did when it was last repaired. So what bracing is there underneath to provide strength?
Looks like they welded this in on top for bracing.

Hi Ed, Pantera Parts Connection makes these little tricky pieces. They need to be welded in and that is tricky as well unless the Engine is removed. They need to be level, otherwise the decklid struts will not stay up as they begin to collapse the pressure lessons to the point of ease of closure.
Our dEck Lid shocks are made just for Pantera¹s and have the proper size mounting heads for either the 10 mm 71 allen cap screw fastner, or the 72 and later 6 mm hex head bolt systems.
18126P PPC Shock rear deck lid support $42.00 each
18126X Support, Lower Shock Bracket $75.00 each

Can someone please send me either schematics or blueprints or pictures of the factory decklid mounts for a 1972 serial number 3072. Engine bay side? They are either welded on top of the engine bay (early) or welded and braced from underneath (later).
My car is in the body shop and the factory location for the deck lid shocks were missing jerry rigged and non stock. Here's a picture from serial number 36xx blue car, and then from a push button black car. When did the factory change over to the new style of mounting location?
My other car 2152 has the early style as pictured. The candy apple car.
Also, need the factory locations for the rubber bumper on each side on top of the tail light housings.
Thanks Ed
